Two-Factor Authentication (or 2FA) is an extra security step for Cryptal accounts to ensure that the account owner is the only person who can access the account, even if someone else knows the password.

 

When signing into your account, you will be asked to provide your password and an authentication code generated every thirty seconds by a TOTP (time-based one-time password) application, such as Google Authenticator. We strongly recommend activating 2FA as it prevents unauthorized access to your accounts. TOTP apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and FreeOTP are available for Android and iOS.
