Visa and Mastercard are currently accepted for Georgian Lari (GEL) deposits and withdrawals, as well as US Dollar deposits by verified users. The card must be issued by bank in a country on the list of verifiable countries and your name on your card should match the name on your account. Only physical cards are accepted, not digital-only cards.
To use a credit or debit card, simply select your GEL or USD wallet and click on Manage Cards.
For GEL cards, if it is issued by TBC, select TBC Bank for the payment processor. Otherwise, select Bank of Georgia for all other bankcards. You will be redirected to the bank's e-commerce site to add your card. You will first need to confirm your ownership of the card with a 3D secure code. To activate your card on Cryptal, you will need to verify that the name on the card matches the name of the account holder by sending a photo of you holding the physical card. Your name and the account number must be printed on the same side of the card.
Once the card is verified, your saved card(s) will show up in the list of cards to choose from when you make a deposit, withdrawal, or trade.
To use a stored card from the Instant Trade tab, uncheck "From my balance" and the card dropdown will appear. Select your card from the list, or add a new card.
Fees on card transactions are 3% of the deposited amount for GEL and 4% for USD deposits. Withdrawals in GEL are charged 1 GEL for TBC cads and 1.2 GEL for all other cards processed with Bank of Georgia.
Bank card deposit limits are GEL 5,000 per day and 50,000 per month, or $5000 per day and $30,000 per month. Withdrawal limits are GEL 3,000 per day and 30,000 per month.
